Today, I start blogging again. My commitment to disrupting myself requires accountability to myself & others, & in all radical honesty I need to chronicle the journey with genuine intent & shared experiences. If I have to force myself to show the evidence as well to colleagues, then maybe my struggles & challenges will help others. That’s my hope, anyway.

What is that commitment to disruption, you may wonder, dear reader? A mindfulness activity each workday to help me feel centered. You see, I’m an introverted higher ed leader with anxiety. So, these will be vignettes on negotiating a new work culture, while trying to move forward professionally to help as many as I can. Not as many pictures, but more self-awareness and self-regulation.

These mindfulness activities may range from guided meditation, reflective writing, artistic pursuits, creative writing, and listening to videos, music, or podcasts to better myself. There’s been a lot of recent change and healing, so helping myself to remain grateful, to not let past disappointments cause me to feel fearful of others because of triggers? That’s the true challenge. Here goes.
